Product Performance
Uniaxial geogrid is manufactured from plastic materials which may be high-density polypropylene or high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resins by the hot extruding process to make the resins into thin plates, the plates are punched into the regular holes for the formation of desired grids, and then the punching patterns are stretched longitudinally into the desired meshes to develop designed tensile strength. Compared with biaxial geogrid production process, the uniaxial geogrid performs one-way stretching direction during production. In this process, the one-way stretched resins become directional linear state and forms an elliptical mesh integrity structure that is evenly distributed and has extraordinary tensile strength (>150Mpa) and tensile modulus, it provides the soil with an ideal chain force system to bear and diffuse. Product Features
In this process, the polymer is oriented in a linear state and forms a uniformly distributed, high node strength, long elliptical network overall structure. This structure has a relatively high tensile strength and modulus, reaching 100-200Mpa in tensile strength, which is close to the level of low-carbon steel and greatly superior to traditional or existing reinforced materials. It has a high early tensile strength and modulus (with an elongation of 2-5%) that exceeds international standards. A chain system that provides ideal force bearing and diffusion for the soil.
